Just arrived in Washington DC, it has a fantastic vibe and although we have just got here have instantly found a liking to it. Now looking for accommodation and food!

Puneet and Sonpreet helped is with our luggage to the rental car which was about a block away. We said our farewells and drove towards Washington DC. It was getting very late 3am Monday! So we decided to check into a motel, whilst other motels were charging crazy prices we found a Super 8 in Aberdeen.

On the way we went through 7 tolls! At $4 a toll they are soon mounting up!!

Meeting old friends…..

We were fortunate to be able to meet an old friend, Sonpreet Bhatia and her husband, Puneet. we first met Sonpreet earlier this year at Satnam Fest west. They popped over to the Yotel hotel where we had dinner. Also looking forward to seeing them again in Sat Nam Fest East!!

A fantastic “fast food for vegetarians” although Otarian says it is “good food served fast!”. They are all vegetarian dishes so no egg, meat etc, they have dairy but vegan and gluten free options are available. I had the tex mex burger and Sangeet had Tandoori mushroom o paneer wrap. Both fantastic dishes.
