Starting weight: 88.8kgTarget weight: 63kgWeight recorded on November 2nd 2013: 82.8kgFor the final month of training I have decided to rent an apartment. It is a 10 minute walk from the gym. At this point I attached some pictures of the apartment and realised my kachera were in full view! so better clean up and take more pictures!my apartment
The next picture was taken when I first viewed the apartment
As I have stayed in the 'village/ghetto' as I like to call it for two months, people have started to know who I am and become friendly. When I was moving to the apartment people stopped me in the street and asked “are you leaving?” They actually had a sad look! I said I am moving to the apartment at Lumpini Condo Town. They all seemed happy, it felt like the boy from the ghetto had done well!!
As you can see the apartment is very compact, but it is a nice bug free environment. Also, I get hot water, which helps my bruises!
When I was living and training at the gym it just did not feel like I got any downtime, being in the apartment now feels like I get downtime and am able to attend the training sessions with a fresh mind/feel…….in fact I have now even started training in Sundays.
Also, as I am still teaching English and finishing around 9:30pm, I will not have to walk back to the gym, where most of the time the village dogs chase me………I fear dogs, they chase me, snakes scare me and I see so many…..!!

It was great to be back with a sangat, I am very home sick and this has helped me. The only problem is that last time we were here it was with Sangeet. I keep hoping I can look over and she will be sitting there.
After the programme and whilst eating lungar, I met a guy called Inderjit Singh, a third generation Thai Sikh. It was great to meet him and we have exchanged numbers. Hoping he can help/guide me around Bangkok.
Around 2pm I met First Gear the journey back to WPT took 1.5 hours! Just so crazy how much traffic exists here, even on a Sunday!
The afternoon and evening I was very depressed. I am very home sick and missing my wife Sangeet.
In order for me to get my certificate to teach Kundalini Yoga, I needed to complete the white tantric. At summer solstice white tantric is held over three days, for the certificate, I only needed to complete one day.
About White Tantric Yoga® And Meditation
Our minds release 1000 thoughts per wink of an eye. Some of these thoughts get lost in the unconscious, and some get stuck in the subconscious and affect the conscious mind. These thoughts become feelings, emotions, desires, multi-realities or fantasies. Instead of mastering our mind, often our mind and thoughts direct or distract us, which can result in impulsive decisions, poor communication and self-imposed stress.White Tantric Yoga® enables you to break through these subconscious blocks, so you can have a more enjoyable life. In the shortest time, you can experience release from a lot of the burden you carry in your mind. When you see and act on each moment with clarity, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your life can change.Your mind, body, and soul can act together as one. This is the path to personal freedom and awareness, and will bring more success to every area of your life.

What to Expect
White Tantric Yoga® is done in pairs as a group meditation. You sit facing a partner and follow instructions for meditation given on video by the Mahan Tantric,Yogi Bhajan. A representative of the Mahan Tantric will be present to facilitate White Tantric Yoga®. Each workshop consists of between six and eight kriyas. A kriya is a meditation incorporating one or all of the following:
• a yoga posture (asana)
• a breathing technique (pranayam)
• a mental focus
• and/or a mantra
• a hand position (mudra)
Sometimes the kriyas are accompanied by music. These kriyas vary in length up to sixty-two minutes. There are breaks in between each kriya. The environment is peaceful, and the atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and uplifting. A vegetarian lunch is provided.
How it Works
Envision the energy of the universe as both parallel and perpendicu- lar in nature, like a cloth woven together. As a cloth becomes stronger whenitisstretchedonthediagonal, sotheWhiteTantricYoga® diagonal, or ‘Z’ energy is stronger. This energy, when directed by the Mahan Tantric, cuts through the blocks that are stuck in the subconscious mind.
Using the diagonal energy, the Mahan Tantric,Yogi Bhajan, connects his subtle body to the subtle bodies of the participants through the course facilitator. This works the same way as a worldwide telephone system that relies on satellites and electromagnetic energy in order to connect two parties.
WhiteTantricYoga® should not be confused with blackor red tantric. Those forms of yoga also transform energy, but in a different way and for different purposes. Black tantric directs the energy to manipulate other human beings and red tantric directs the energy solely for sexual purposes.
In the evening we said our very long goodbyes and headed to the Sheraton Hotel in Albuquerque, the next day we headed back home.
After lunch we walked to FedEx and the post office, as we need to send a prescription home for some malarone tablets. We found the 6 – 10 day service through the post office to be the cheapest. On walking back to Broadway, Sangeet spotted a hotel by the name of Yotel so we decided to check availability and price. They had rooms available, Sangeet loved the hotel and convinced me that we should book it
I have just landed at Chicago O’Hare international and am awaiting the American Airlines flight to Albuquerque, the first thing everybody should do is try out Garrett Popcorn, I recommend choosing ‘The Chicago Mix’ a blend of Caramel Crisp and Cheese Corn, a fantastic combination.
Also worth a mention, the wifi at the Admirals club lounge is fast and free!
Until next time Chicago……..
After a turbulent flight to Albuquerque, I was met at the airport by my very good friend Prith. He arranged for the courtesy shuttle to take us to the Sheraton airport hotel, the room rate was supposed to be $119 per night plus taxes, but we negotiated on $89, also helped that we were SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest member)
I met Prith two years ago at Espanola whilst Sangeet was attending the immersion course, I flew to Espanola to surprise Sangeet with a big chocolate cake, then I thought about driving to Denver to catch up with some friends, something was just telling me to turn back and stay in Espanola. In the meantime, Prith was doing a road trip of the USA and was told by a yoga teacher to visit Espanola, which he did. What was supposed to be a three to four hour visit for Prith to Espanola turned out to be 4 days! Another one of our friends Deva Singh, who was living in Espanola hooked up with us and we had a fantastic time which helped our friendship bond together.
After a good night’s rest we headed out to Walmart to get some supplies, on entering the store somebody shouted out Obama lock and load, I think he meant to say Osama!
I also needed to get a 3G sim so can stay connected, we went to the T -mobile, unfortunately, the frequency was different so my only option was to buy a MiFi unit at a cost of $170! In the end, Prith was able to tether his iPhone through Verizon for $20 per month.
Back on the road to Espanola via Santa Fe for a spot of lunch and sightseeing. Lunch was at India Palace a nice restaurant which is at 227 Don Gasper Ave, Santa Fe. Our last unhealthy meal before immersion:
We popped into The Signature Gallery and met the artist Phillip Payne, he was very kind to spend some time with us and gave us a story of his art.
After a wonderful time in Santa Fe, onwards to Espanola.

We arrived in Espanola around 17:30 and went to the Gurdwara. Afterwards, we were shown our room.
