Popped to the original Babycakes in NYC. Cookie crunch and two chocolate cupcakes. All are vegan and there is a very good range of gluten free.

On the way we went past a chinese bakery and a beautiful buddhist temple.

We took the tour bus (City Sights NY) down to battery park where we walked across to the Staten island ferry terminal, the ferries run 24 hours a day and are free to Staton island going past the Statute of Lliberty. This ferry is very good providing you are not bothered about going onto Liberty Island and climbing the Statue of Liberty.

For lunch we went to the vegetarian restaurant Budda Bodai (They have some dishes with egg) Sangeet chose torfu with organic mushroom, I had the Kung pao veg chicken. The prices are very reasonable starter and main should be around $22.

Half way through our lunch, Hari Nam and his lovely wife Kulwant came into the restaurant! They joined us which was very nice.

So now we have very good company and fantastic food…..perfect!!
