How much do we really need to eat…..?
I never asked myself this question until I started training here in Bangkok. In the UK my philosophy was what the hell just eat away, sometimes I would try and eat healthy, go to the gym and not see any weight loss, I thought to myself I am eating food which I am not really enjoying, I would then just go back to eating naughty foods!
Training and living here has let me experiment with my eating habits, when I first started, I ate two very large meals a day, both after training. There was no in-between snacking. At first this felt great, eat as much as possible, you will definitely burn it off. After the first month my weight had hardly changed!
I then cut out the rice and ate more vegetables. Excellent for a few days until I seemed to be loosing my energy. The electrolytes came next, this helped a bit but not much, I found just drinking plain iced water helped a lot more.
Now comes wearing a sweatsuit, the first few weeks were exhausting. I did the walk/run came back to the gym and literally collapsed! I needed large amounts of water, which annoyed Master Pimu!
What works for me is BLUE SKY every Sunday. Wanna come?
Amit let’s do that!
I definitely need to eat more veg, I tend to avoid it like the plague..
Same as me. Especially when meat is full of chemicals
Good luck! I personally believe we eat ro live but food is also something we should learn to enjoy because only good food can be enjoyable. For me food is a part of my day and could easily become something I am looking forward to
Thanks and that’s so true!
I tried alot of methods for weight. I am currently on a no refined sugar, no gluten and no dairy. You would think I had no options but I love cooking. Removing certain things from the diet does not stop you from trying new palettes. I have 3 meals a day, no snacking and train 4 to 5 times a week. My energy has gone up !!! Good job on trying to change you diet 🙂 it makes a different when you experiment and try.
When I was diagnosed with cancer I turn to a vegan diet. Did wonders for me
Got to read something fresh… Keep sharing,….
Will do.
I always find when I go into ‘healthy mode’ is to eat less but more times a day, eating say a handful of food at regular intervals during the day. This seems to quicken my metabolism up and I shred weight especially if I’m working out too. Having said that I find it really difficult to maintain this while I’m traveling.
I honestly just don’t cook as much as a I want. I want to eat healthy but it comes down to budget and what I know to cook. If I had it my way and had time, I would definitely try a new recipe every night!
In a fast paced life it is so easy not to eat healthy and properly. For out healths sake we should take time out to look after our bodies which will hopefully look after us for a long time.
interesting perspective!!! I feel the same with many of the points you’ve raised here!
I need to eat more veg or no veg because I am increase my fat you can help me
Just increase your exercise.
Definitely Eat To Live. But our materialistic lifestyle pushing us to “eat to live” condition without caring chemical reaction inside our body. As a traveler Digital nomad fitness do not matter me. I climb giant hills and mountains which help me to maintain my health. Thanks, great blog and keep posting your inspirational story.
Thank you
Love eating fresh foods – fruit is absolutely fine in moderation if you ask me. Different things work for everyone. Keep up the great work!
